In my last blog post, I talked about taking pictures of your clients and using them to bring awareness to your areas of weakness in order to improve and deliver better results. But there’s more you can do with them to push your skillset AND truly impress your clients…
You can literally draw on them and play around with various shapes and looks on your client’s face before you commit and apply any lashes! Drawing on their picture is always a way to kind of figure out what you need to do in order to achieve a certain look you were going for or determine where you could have done things differently if you’re just not totally thrilled with what you applied.
You can do this with the ‘mark up’ option on your iphone photo settings, or my personal favorite way, with an Apple Pencil and on an iPad. When I was a working lash artist, I used the app ‘Good notes’ to import my photos into and do this with, which was cool because I also kept client notes in there with the images.
However you choose to do it, the bottom line is that you can literally draw out lashes on their eyes and erase them and continue to play around with different looks. Here’s some examples of what I mean:
This can be so much fun and will really make a significant difference on your level of artistry, as well as your client’s experience with you! I’ll never forget the looks I would get from my clients when I would show them some of my drawings and the plans I had come up with for them! Talk about impressed! Most clients haven’t had someone put that much thought and effort into their results, let alone have had the ability to literally see what their lashes will look like and play a role in the decision making about what looks best for them. That’s some serious lash ARTISTRY if you ask me!
